The world had since November to prepare. You are correct. There are myriad new alliances, and China has taken the baton and reached out to third world nations where we have suddenly created a vacuum. trump just might get what he thinks is success...America alone and wallowing in its own shit. Billionaires pay nothing into society, and the middle and lower classes will bear the brunt.

This is all true. Our leaders let them get away with it too.

So instead of putting tariffs on an entire nation, why not put them on those American-owned outsourced products being shipped here?

Trump will cave nearly completely on tariffs. Unfortunately the damage to the markets, individuals' portfolios, and to the economy will be done. Hopefully we'll recover before mid-terms, or it's going to be pretty sad for you guys.

I sure hope that you're wrong, but I fear that you're right. One would think that a stable genius businessman, who during his last term ended up bailing out American soybean farmers to the tune of billion because of his tariffs, would have learned from that. Brazil now has our former Chinese bean market.
