No they won't. To whatever degree a few jobs come back, it'll take years to happen. Years of inflation and recession in the meantime.

Plus, more and more manufacturing jobs are being automated, which is why it'll be "a few" jobs coming back. A meaningless amount.

Of course. You might not remember but when Trump announced that he was threatening to slap tariffs on Canada to motivate Canada to drop their tariffs on the US (because Canada cannot afford to be shut out of US markets), Trump ended up totally caving by Canada agreeing to remove all US tariffs within 24 hours. Trump caves like that a lot.
 
America is an unreliable trading partner so to protect itself China is moving to stop buying anything from America. The few things from America that they currently need will not have huge tariffs.....that is all that has happened..

There is no cave.

He has. An intelligent, non-impulsive President, if he rightfully wanted to address the China trade issue,would establish other trade avenues FIRST, then put the clamps on China. By doing that, you don't disrupt our economy nearly as much and put yourself at a disadvantage in the process.

But, again, he'd have to not be an impulsive moron to actually think ahead and do things the right way.
