House Republican on war plans chat: ‘There’s no doubt that Russia and China saw this stuff’​


Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) said there’s “no doubt” that Russia and China were monitoring the U.S. officials’ devices used for a war plan text chat.

“I will guarantee you, 99.99 percent with confidence, Russia and China are monitoring those two phones,” Bacon told CNN’s Manu Raju. “So I just think it’s a security violation, and there’s no doubt that Russia and China saw this stuff within hours of the actual attacks on Yemen or the Houthis.”

National security adviser Mike Waltz reportedly invited The Atlantic’s top editor, Jeffrey Goldberg, into the Signal group, in which Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shared secret war plans.

Can’t say anyone is really surprised, when you appoint TV talking heads and ass kissers with zero experience to important positions bad things are going to happen, you’d think Trump would have learned after the personnel debacles in first Administration

Always said if a real crisis hit the US while Trump was in charge would be in trouble due to the lack of real leadership. Trump was luckily with his first three years but when Covid hit it proved my assertion. Keep your fingers crossed for the next four years

You are unable to learn. We told you Trump and his entourage were not qualified to govern. Within, a month, Trump proved it at a level even you should understand. Perhaps you are so pro Trump, that you would take him over the American experiment. Let America fail if Trump cannot rule. This incident proves that everyone Trump put in those important positions is unqualified. Hegseth is a bad joke. Tulsi is not qualified. The whole group blustered into a horrible military gaffe.

This definitely shouldn't have happened. I am sure they will take steps to correct it. You are conflating it and making a much bigger deal about it than it is. But, being the partisan hack that you are, I expect no less from you
 
I swear - Trump plays his supporters for such fools. He's attacking the Atlantic in all of this - as though they're somehow responsible?
