The Democratic Party has reached an all-time low in popularity in the latest national NBC News poll, as it searches for a path forward after a painful loss to President Donald Trump — and as the party’s voters spoil for a fight between their leaders in Washington and Trump.

Just over a quarter of registered voters (27%) say they have positive views of the party, which is the party’s lowest positive rating in NBC News polling dating back to 1990. Just 7% say those views are “very” positive.

The low rating is due to Schumer’s voting yes on the budget proposal, not due to some redefining schisms within the party, the majority want the party to fight Trump more actively.

Means little, they have over a year to get their act together for the 2026 midterms, and at the rate Trump is endorsing chaos, he will be their biggest asset

You have it backwards Schumer voted for the CR because people loathe the Democrat party and Schumer did not want to give them more reason to loathe the RNC.

Not true, Schumer voted for it because he is an old line Democrat who believes any shutdown will hurt the country, benefits no one, it is in his nature, and how does Schumer voting against it “give them more reason to loathe the RNC?”
