Depending on the lead time, and no, a nuclear war doesn't start on a whim on a single day, I'd fortify the house and get ready to survive an attack. It's not like a nuclear weapon is likely to land on top of, or within something like 5 to 10 miles of my house. Even one in the megaton range is survivable at that distance.
As for agrees or disagrees, I really don't care. Most--the vast majority--of people are clueless idiots when it comes to the reality of what a nuclear war would be. At least I've read a number of studies on it.
I cant imagine wanting to survive it.

I already made my final arrangements after Occasional-Cortex said the earth ends in 12 years. That was about 6 years ago. I’m well prepared.
It won't even come close to annihilating the human race.

I find this modern "Nuclear War.....Why Not" very disturbing.
There are some extremely disturbed people ruling the masses.
I have been reading that just an EMP weapon that takes down the grid would kill a large portion of the population, because it would be down for at least two years and people would not be able to cope, and yet we get told nuclear war is something to seriously consider?
