GM... Shennanigans have been called!!!!

They also think it will sell them more cars as people see it and become all forgiving and stuff...

When I first saw the commercial, I was like "wow, that's really cool, it makes me want to go buy my next car at GM... WAIT A MINUTE!!!!"

I am sure this story will gain traction in the main stream media soon.... any minute now...

Our main vehicle is a GM product right now. Tahoe, an absolutely great rig. Rides good, plenty of room for friends and travel, decent price when we bought it, enough power to pull my boat easily, no major mechanical problems in 6 years and well over 150K miles and decent mileage for a rig that size. I really like that vehicle.

Our next vehicle will most definitely not be a GM product because of the bailout situation and the treatment of my father-in-law, a former GM engineer. It won't be a stinkin' Toyota or Nissan either.

Yeah, I don't think I will ever buy a GM product again either.

There is always some dark lining to any good news from the government.

It's possible that this scheme will work out, not too terribly, in the end. That does not make it a good idea. The problem is that it only works once. If the economy falters again and the companies who were given "loans" struggle, applying this same band-aid will not work.

Not even kidding. This whole ad campaign is pretty much it for them. Once most people know what a lie it is, they'll be almost completely done in by the stupidest leaders ever.

This is like you asking to borrow $10 from me to pay back a $9.50 loan I gave you "with interest" then telling everybody how you "paid me back" and that makes you awesome.

where is the FCC, to me this is blatant false advertising.

that's what I was wondering. If ever it seems like someone would be called out this might be it.

I'm just speaking out of my *ss here but could the government or administration put pressure on the FCC to not go after this?

Not that any of this is surprising... but the whole 'GM paid back its loan' is nothing more than a scam perpetrated by GM in an attempt to get more money from tax payers while at the same time lowering their interest payments.
You're three days too late. http://www.justplainpolitics.com/showpost.php?p=639629&postcount=1

I just heard the ad again, and saw it on teevee last night - he's still lying about it.
