President Donald Trump is ordering military aid to Ukraine to be paused after his Friday Oval Office spat with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, a White House official told CNN.

“The President has been clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well. We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution,” the White House official said.

Yes, Russia has endured significant losses, but in the process, it has built a massive wartime industry that is already producing drones and equipment at a pace the West would need years to match. Worse, this proxy war has supercharged the Russia-China alliance, locking in a disastrous geopolitical realignment that will haunt the West for generations.

The sheer audacity of Zelensky and his entourage waltzing into Trump’s White House with Serhiy Leshchenko in their ranks is almost beyond belief. This is the same Leshchenko who was at the center of Ukraine’s 2016 efforts to sabotage Trump’s candidacy with fabricated smears—one of which successfully took down his campaign manager, Paul Manafort. Western elites have coddled them for so long that they move with absolute impunity, confident that no line is too far and no betrayal too brazen.

Given the past behaviour of the Pentagon this cant be assumed, regardless if who SecDef is.
 
Remember that Musk says that he considers it part of his job to make sure that the bureaucrats follow WH orders....which most certainly did not happen last term.
