Russia failed to take Odesa, and not for a lack of trying. That is a simple fact. Where they were on the outskirts of Odesa, they are now 200 miles away. Where they did have a complete blockade by sea, including capture an island right off the coast of Odesa, they are now hiding their ships in their port.

One thing war does is show the real balance of power. It has shown Ukraine is stronger than everyone thought, and Russia is weaker.
