I suspect that the people of Mexico, will continue to call it the Gulf of Mexico.


I have know a number of Texans who have called it the Gulf of Texas for decades. But then, these same people consider our nation to be Texas, and the other 49 states, just inferior territories.


Its all in a name, ehh?

We have more shore line on the Gulf than Mexico does so it should be the Gulf of America.

Hey Einstein, that's because it was called the Gulf of Mexico then. I suspect they'll be just fine calling it the Gulf of America just like the rest of us, well most of us.

We are militarily and economically stronger than Mexico. They lose. To the victor belong the spoils. Does a lion concern himself with what the lambs call their pasture?

People can call anything what they like; it doesn't change reality.

Lefties say a woman can have a penis and a man can get pregnant, so I'm not disposed to consider their naming conventions either.

I was just pointing out how the "Issue" of the name seems kinda silly... until you start looking at the actions of the Lefties in the Culture War.


Look at all the statues torn down of Confederate War Heroes. Or of Christ. Or renaming Mt. McKinley.


Hell, they decided to declare Pluto no longer a planet, but rather a planetoid. And then made a big deal about how all grade school science teachers would have to go for education updates, including BLM run diversity training courses, or loose their teaching certification. And very few none-kowtowing white males would be allowed to update their teaching license.


Is the difference between calling Pluto a planet, or a planetoid, a change of name, so important, as to force teachers into Re-education Camps, and remove non-Leftie-White-Males from teaching?


The problem with this type of "Culture War Nomenclature Attacks", is that they are largely ignored by the majority of Americans.


I understand what Trump was trying to say, but I also think we should not take on ALL of the techniques used by the divisive Lefties. Leftie Culture War Crap has been a great source of evil. Conservative Culture Wars crap, is still just more crap.

I can understand your thinking with one little caveat, the changes made by the right are not an effort to deceive, destroy, or rewrite history. When the left engages in changing names or tearing down statues it's always in an effort to re-write history with their new woke and anti-American versions. At least, that's my general experience. Either way I can appreciate your perspective.
