White House Bars Reporter From Event Over A.P.’s Use of ‘Gulf of Mexico’

Again. Read it slowly... very slowly, maybe you'll be able to get the concept.

Right wingers didn't object to this back then, they don't object to it now. The only hypocrite here, so far, is you. I suppose we'll get a few more left wingers ready to poop a bird when they read the OP.... Then you'll have some company, but right now, it's all you man.
Look, this is your forum. But, my god, you're a fucking idiot.

Again this isn't about that. You are deliberately being obtuse now.

We asked you a question. When your braindead hero kicked reporters out of the WH press room did you object? Can you point to one post about it?

Since you cannot, you simply are a huge hypocrite.

Right wingers did not object to your braindead hero doing it, and they don't object now because their reaction to this isn't chock full of your favorite flavor "hypocrisy".

True, true. I never see double-standards from the right wingers here.

They're remarkable in their objectivity.

In this particular case, yup.

Now, are you going to go apoplectic over Trump kicking a reporter from the WH or do you recognize the reality that most presidents do this? Inquiring minds want to know.

The A.P. had issued editorial guidance about the Gulf of Mexico on Jan. 23. In a post on its website, it said that the body of water had carried its name for more than 400 years and shared borders with both the U.S. and Mexico. Because Mr. Trump’s executive order only carried authority within the U.S. and had not been recognized by Mexico, the A.P. said it would refer to the Gulf of Mexico “by its original name while acknowledging the new name Trump has chosen.”

I don't care about it. There's a lot of other stuff going on these days.

"The AP said..."

Did the White House ever confirm that what the AP said was in fact accurate?

Is there any proof that Trump blocked an AP reporter from a press briefing because the AP didn't change its stylebook?

There are reports from multiple news sources indicating that the Trump administration blocked an Associated Press (AP) reporter from attending an event in the Oval Office due to the AP's refusal to change its stylebook guidance regarding the name "Gulf of Mexico" to "Gulf of America."

These reports are based on statements from the AP and reactions from journalistic organizations rather than direct evidence like official White House statements or video footage of the event. The absence of direct statements from the Trump administration in these reports might indicate that they did not officially comment on the matter, or their comments were not included in the news articles.

Given this context, while there is substantial reporting from reputable sources corroborating the incident, the "proof" in this case is constituted by consistent journalistic accounts and the absence of contradictory evidence from the administration.

@Grok

:dunno:

The Associated Press said on Tuesday that one of its reporters was barred from an Oval Office event because the outlet has continued to refer to the Gulf of Mexico by its original name.

Sweet, if they're so stupid they don't even know the name of the Gulf of America, why should anyone want to read their ill informed bullshit? Journalist that can't keep track of the simplest things should get the good spots in press briefings? I don't think so. lol Dipshits.

And add to that the fact that there's zero official corroboration for @Hume's premise ...

Fuck Trump. He is a criminal. No one should obey him.
Well, unfortunately for you, he's more popular than ever. Maybe the libtards shouldn't have 'Trumped up' all the charges, it only made him stronger, dumbasses. LOL
