We've all heard that the Trump administration might get rid of the Department of Education in its entirety. There are arguments, mostly from the Left and teachers' unions, to keep it open and funded.
A lot of the discussion has been over why it should be disestablished. I'd like to know what the arguments for keeping it funded and running are, and how those are justified.
