Poll: Barack Obama 42%, Ron Paul 41%

YOu mean like Clinton did before Bush was elected and fucked things up with his irresponsible tax cuts and his drunken spending on an immoral war in Iraq?

LMAO....

1) Each and every year of Clintons Presidency, the national debt went up.

2) Though I do give him credit for coming close in 2000.

3) That said, a President does not pass the budget.... CONGRESS does. The President gives his/her input and then signs the budget that comes out of Congress.

4) As for drunken spending... Obama is on pace to raise the national debt by at least $6 TRILLION in his first TERM. Yes, some was necessary, but to pretend he had to raise national spending like he has and that he somehow 'must continue' doing so is nothing more than a lame attempt at a joke.

You seem to have an issue with my age. That's because you can't best me at debate. Be assured that my experience simply gives me an advantage over you.

So try another tactic to ridicule me so I can beat you over the heat with that one as well. :)

I must be older than you, since you won't debate me and I have bested you numerous times.

I guess I finally got an answer to my question. :good4u:

which he always does. He NEVER admits he is in error.

too true.

He just continues to attempt to use racial stereotypes as some sort of justification for the inconsistencies in sentencing.

Seriously.... even IF they did not have a father in their lives... how the hell would that justify a black man getting a harsher sentence than a white man who committed the same crime?

Actually, blacks who are married are on financial parity with whites who are married, so its not race, but the ability to maintain a stable relationship.

very, very true. It's a lot easier to get married if your 21 and not in jail for 3 joints.:clink:

No. Our disagreement comes down to you being wrong and refusing to admit it.
Actually I have stated several times that these situations transcend race and provided evidence to support that in a logical manner. All you have provided is correlation without causation, and now this false claim of victory; laughable. :)

Your story of "a girl you knew" is evidence? LMAO! Thats one of your better lines, SM.

Can you cite a study or source for that assertion, Old Southern Man?
The children of single teenage mothers are more at risk for later criminal behavior. In the case of a teenage mother, the absence of a father also increases the risk of harshness from the mother.

Seventy-two percent of adolescent murderers grew up without fathers. Sixty percent of America's rapists grew up the same way.

The proportion of single-parent households in a community predicts its rate of violent crime and burglary, but the community's poverty level does not.

The relationship between family structure and crime is so strong that controlling for family configuration erases the relationship between race and crime and between low income and crime.

Thank you, Democrat Party. :good4u:

Yes, you have stated that nonsense.... but again you fail to look at the FACTS.

If you had a black person without a father and a white person without a father in the same socioeconomic situation, the black person would be more likely to receive the harsher sentence. Period.

(1999) "Our research shows that blacks comprise 62.7 percent and whites 36.7 percent of all drug offenders admitted to state prison, even though federal surveys and other data detailed in this report show clearly that this racial disparity bears scant relation to racial differences in drug offending. There are, for example, five times more white drug users than black. Relative to population, black men are admitted to state prison on drug charges at a rate that is 13.4 times greater than that of white men. In large part because of the extraordinary racial disparities in incarceration for drug offenses, blacks are incarcerated for all offenses at 8.2 times the rate of whites. One in every 20 black men over the age of 18 in the United States is in state or federal prison, compared to one in 180 white men."

Your "FACTS" say nothing about socioeconomics.

When I was in HS I knew a girl who actually wanted to get pregnant and had no intention of getting married because she knew she could then get public housing. Her child then grows up without a father and then this situation becomes the new normal, hence the fatherless society. She happened to be white so this situation transcends race. But add in affirmative action and the victim mentality perpetuated by the Democrat Party and you end up with a disproportionately high number of blacks in this situation.

This has nothing to do with drugs.

You knew this girl, eh?

Prove it.

Your "FACTS" say nothing about socioeconomics.

The facts speak to the problem being discussed. If a white person and a black person are arrested and convicted of the same crime, the black person is almost twice as likely to receive a prison sentence.

Whether they would have committed the crime if they had a father present, or whether the democrats are responsible for coddling blacks into poverty is not relevant.

The system treats blacks differently from whites. It sends far more blacks to prison than it does whites, for similar crimes.

That is racism.
