He allegedly assaulted the 18-year-old mother of his 4-week-old child and then claimed troopers were arresting him because he opposes gay marriage.

During a Monday shootout with state troopers, 29-year-old farmer and Trump supporter Steven Righini held his four-week-old daughter hostage, barricaded in his Portage Lake, Maine home while publishing social media posts about “pedos” and “transgenders harassing” him.

Righini, who regularly shared anti-LGBTQ+ messages on X, murdered a police dog named Preacher and injured an officer while trying to escape arrest. Troopers shot and killed Righini soon after.

Troopers came to Righini’s rural home after receiving reports of a domestic dispute during which he allegedly fought the 18-year-old mother of his child and pushed her against a wall. When troopers arrived, they found the woman outdoors. When they convinced Righini to come outside and tried to arrest him, he pulled a gun from his waistband and began shooting at officers before returning indoors, WMTW reported.

Something I noticed, he is 28, and has a baby mother that is 18. It is possible he slept with her when she was newly 18, but more probable he slept with her when she was 17.

So a 27 year old man slept with a 17 year old minor, and got her pregnant, and now is attacking police for telling him he has to support his child. We really should start pressing criminal charges against these men who sexually molest minors.

Having sex with a minor, sometimes (but not always) legal, not moral in modern society. Getting an unwed minor pregnant, sometimes (but not always) legal, not moral in most societies. Assaulting that teenager, her baby, police, and holding everyone hostage at gunpoint.... Neither legal nor moral.

A deadbeat dad who took advantage of a minor. It happens often like that. When teenage boys have sex with teenage girls, they will usually use birth control. When adult men have sex with teenage girls, they will usually not use birth control. And then they will try to get out of criminal charges by saying they are a father... And of course do nothing to support the child.
