Rolled through my store this morning, saw eggs at $4.17, down from $6.38; probably close to expiration date. In any case there were a lot of them for sale, meaning not everybody is going to let themselves be gouged.

Many of the alleged 'economists' here like to babble about 'supply and demand curves' as if it were some magical chant, but the supply and 'ability to pay' curve crossings are far more important at the retail level..

Food prices have dropped about a percentage point since Trump took office. What some leftist rag PREDICTED back in December is irrelevant.

It's not much, but if it keeps up could reverse the damage done during Obama's third term over the course of a year.

That is a great sentiment, but would you allow for the US to use it for, say, military jets, e.g. bombers which will be used outside the US? How about to fill fuel bladders in operational locations, e.g. war zones?

No one is claiming strategically placed tariffs cannot be beneficial and protect narrow US Markets.

But, you place tariffs across the board, as Trump wants to do, without strategic consideration, and you are going to reek havoc on the nation.

Notice how Trump backed off owing to the tremendous pressure not to do them. They are not a good idea, as he wants to implement them.

Not only that, he is claiming they are a tax on the foreign countries. that, right there, tells me he is a dumbass, as ultimately tariffs non strategically placed (placed across the board) are a tax on US taxpayers.

If you don't know that, you are a dumbass.
