I just paid $3.53 a gallon yesterday. Been a while since I paid anything near $3 a gallon. But I only buy the 93 octane Shell, so that probably is why. I use maybe a tank a month.

In any case, it only takes about 3 months for chickens to grow to laying size,, so it's not a permanent thing, though once dumbass consumers are used to paying high prices, the wholesalers and retailers will no doubt keep prices up for a long time. When you can make more by selling a lot less of the same product, that usually happens. They have consumers trained to allow themselves to be looted.

That's because oil and gas produced locally is allowed to be exported at world spot market prices, not required to be refined and sold locally. In any case, they will drop some just because of the political necessity of it.

I would require all oil taken from our govt. reserves be processed and sold here, but nobody put me in charge, so it won't happen.
