Huckabee likens gay marriage to incest, polygamy

I would add to the above post by saying any "honest" fundamentalist Christian believes this about all things sinful, not just homosexuality.

I wouldn't use the word honest for any Christian, as they pic and choose pieces of the bible to oppress others while ignoring tons of shit they don't agree with.:good4u:

Then how do you know what he thinks? You appear to have made a baseless assumption.

He thinks that homosexuals should be treated as second class citizens, at best.

He talks of homosexuality being immoral, and uses that as a reason to deny them marriages and the ability to serve in the military. So he is using his religious beliefs to further his bigotry.

Believing that it is sinful is fine. When they take their beliefs and try and make them law, we have a problem.

Again, you libtards pretend to know what Huck thinks, yet can't find any documentation to back up what you say.

Here's how the Huckster stacks up in the latest poll. Don't worry moderate Republicans, his numbers will go down and he'll never get the nomination even if he were to run again, so Democrats, don't go to salivating over an easy victory over the Huckster in '12. He'll never get the nod.

"The survey found that 24 percent of Republicans and Republican leaning Independents say they would most likely support Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and 2008 GOP presidential candidate, in the battle for the 2012 GOP nomination. And 20 percent said they would back former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, who also ran for the White House in 2008. Palin, who was Sen. John McCain's running mate in the last presidential election, came in third place with 15 percent, a point ahead of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich."

Again, you libtards pretend to know what Huck thinks, yet can't find any documentation to back up what you say.

From the article:

"In response to a 1992 questionnaire from The Associated Press, Huckabee, then a Senate candidate in Arkansas, spelled out his opposition to homosexuality, saying it was crucial that the country not "legitimize immorality.""

and

""I feel homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural, and sinful lifestyle," he wrote, in response to a question about gays in the military."

From: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/a...ckabees_views_on_gays_under_greater_scrutiny/

"Shortly before announcing his White House bid, Mike Huckabee told a gathering of Christian conservatives that he had the toughest position against gay marriage of any Republican candidate. "Unless Moses comes down with two stone tablets from Brokeback Mountain to tell us something different, we need to keep that understanding of marriage," Huckabee said, referring to the movie about two gay cowboys."

and

"In an interview with the Globe earlier this month, Huckabee said he opposes civil unions because he views them as legitimizing same-sex relationships in the eyes of the state."

From: http://www.bilerico.com/2007/12/mike_huckabee_says_homosexuality_a_publi.php

"I believe to try to legitimize that which is inherently illegitimate would be a disgraceful act of government. I feel homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural and sinful lifestyle, and we now know it can pose a dangerous public health risk."

I think Huckabee has given us plenty of information on which to base our statements.

Still nothing that shows Huck thinks that queerness should be illegal. :)

Huckabee thinks they should not be allowed to serve in the military or marry. Huckabee has made this very clear. His beliefs are the basis for his bigotry.

I have made no claim that he thinks anything should be illegal.

My argument is against wanderingbear and similar lib-tards.

First of all, if you would quote the post to which you are replying, it would cut down on confusion.

Second of all, you were obviously not addressing just WanderingBear since you didn't mention him and used the plural "lib-tards". And WanderingBear is the only one who posted the very narrow idea that you now claim to have been addressing.

As for "similar lib-tards", I didn't see anyone else claim that Huckabee wants homosexuality to be illegal. Or are you claiming to know, without any factual evidence, that other liberals here think Huckabee wants to make homosexuality illegal?
