I think he stands a chance. The Republican party could go a long way towards distancing themselves from the extreme right by nominating Romny.

not a damn thing, but that's mott's strategy. the NEXT legislation for health care will control costs. It's more important to spend any amount possible just to get people covered first.

They are if they aint paying attention to the facts son. We're paying close to 17% of GDP per year on health care in this nation. That's about 2.5 trillion dollars per year in the present system. Health care reform is costing initially 100 billion/year. If it cuts the percentage of GDP spending to around 8% like most of the develope world with similiar programs are doing that would save us 1.25 trillion dollars per year. 5 years of that would pay off half of our national debt. In other words, the 9 years cost would be paid for in less than one year. in 10 years it would more than pay off our national debt.

The real fact that these people don't understand it that we cannot afford our current system. It is bankrupting our nation at a far faster rate then the governments, mostly republican, debt spending is.

what they are understanding is that this wrong headed legislation needs to be stopped and that cost controls need to be implemented first. something you believe isn't necessary.
