'This will not stand': Air Force resumes teaching on first Black pilots after DEI review

Guano is full of his namesake.

Did the USAF ever stop teaching recruits about the Tuskegee Airmen?

No, the U.S. Air Force has not stopped teaching recruits about the Tuskegee Airmen.

While there were changes in how Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) elements were taught, including the removal of certain DEI-specific materials and the disbanding of dedicated DEI offices, the historical significance and contributions of the Tuskegee Airmen continued to be part of the curriculum.

The focus on the Tuskegee Airmen was shifted to be taught within the context of history and heritage rather than specifically under DEI training modules. This adjustment was made to comply with executive orders to eliminate certain DEI programs, but the educational content about the Tuskegee Airmen's legacy and valor persists in basic military training.

Why would they be teaching about something that doesn't exist anymore? And why would they be teaching that you might be hired or Qualified just because you check some boxes... Not because you're the best... because you have merit...Because you have abilities... because you have talent....
That is not what DEI is, I can see now why you are so confused.

Following swift backlash from legislators, retired military personnel, and others, the U.S. Air Force confirmed to USA TODAY Monday it will resume teaching its recruits about the first Black airmen in the nation’s military.

The move comes on the heels of the Air Force confirming Saturday that course instruction about the Tuskegee Airmen − the more than 15,000 Black pilots, mechanics and cooks in the segregated Army of World War II − had been pulled from basic training curriculum.

Guano, within an hour and a half this bullshit was exposed. Hegseth handles it perfectly and the wokies in the Air Force had an abject lesson in FAFO. Their names will come out and hopefully, they will end their careers voluntarily.

Why wouldn't they teach about these heroic people? Does it hurt the widdle white kids' feelz to find out that non-whites can serve our nation too?

Air Force restores use of Tuskegee Airmen training videos as Hegseth starts first day – WSOC TV https://search.app/hAxRk4jDvyNLS1Ns7 Everything is fine.... We had one of the Tuskegee airmen visit our high school for an assembly that was one of the finest and most inspirational ones that we ever had... They are
Definitely an important part of history..

Oh, look at the racist having a meltdown over the OP. As soon as I saw the thread title, I knew who would be on this like Trump on a cheeseburger. lol

You're welcome;)
"In honor of The Tuskeegee Airmen whose courage, service, and bravery is not currently honored by the military per Executive order.

The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American military aviators in the United States Armed Forces. During World War II, black Americans in many U.S. states were still subject to the Jim Crow laws and the American military was racially segregated, as was much of the federal government.

The Tuskegee Airmen flew more than 15,000 sorties between May 1943 and June 1945. Bomber crews often requested to be escorted by these “Red Tails,” a nicknamed acquired from the painted tails of Tuskegee fighter planes, which were a distinctive deep red. Sixty-six Tuskegee Airmen died in combat.

Chief Civilian Flight Instructor Charles Alfred Anderson took Eleanor Roosevelt on an hour-long flight during her 1941 visit to the Tuskegee Institute." From a FB FRIENDFB_IMG_1738066533142.jpg

I know, right? The bigots seem to believe that DEI means that you can be hired as a brain surgeon, even if you never went past h.s., as long as you are a particular race or gender or sexual orientation or religion -- but only if you're not a straight white Xtian person.
