Liberals Versus Ronald McDonald

McDonald's has actually been pretty good about offering a wide-ranging menu, with a lot of 'healthier' alternatives.

Obesity is a huge, huge problem right now; people might not realize it, but we're all paying for it, one way or another. Still, I don't agree with the gov't getting involved in this. I wish parents in general would do a better job as far as that goes.

The problem is that their salad and their chicken sandwiches have a huge amount of calories as well. I'd take a couple of mcdoubles over that massive salad any day of the week.

Chocolate Triple Thick® Shake (32 fl oz cup) 1160 calories 12 carbohydrate, 6 fat

WTF.... who the fuck needs 32 ounces of shake?
No one NEEDS one, they want one. I think if they do, they should be allowed and NO ONE should stop them. However, I also agree that obese people should have to pay more for their health insurance.

Wow, I would think a conservative like yourself would think that it should be up to the Restaurant/bar owner to decide if they want to allow people to smoke in their establishment. If you don't want to eat at a smoking restaurant, DON'T.

I think smokers are dirty, nasty people who infringe upon my right to go to any restaurant that I chose. Most toss their smoldering butts out the window to further infringe upon my rights. Fuck them, and fuck you. :pke:

This brings up some good points. Now that we have socialized health care we should be able to wire the jaws of fat shits shut, ban tobacco and queers.

And ban all straights who particpate in sodomy?

P.S. Your hate mongering is laughable.

as long it goes hand in hand, I am good with it.

As for people wanting one.... they should have a person designated as 'bitch slapper'.... anyone who orders one of those 32 ounce shakes gets slapped repeatedly until they reduce their order :)

So if I own a restaurant, and I want to cater to smokers, I shouldn't be allowed to do so???

Really? What RIGHT do you have to attend any restaurant you want? Your rights as an occasional consumer trump the rights of the property owner? You are not conservative, you are a right wing nanny stater. My bet is members of this board like Damo and Dano think that property owners have more rights than consumers on their property. You don't want to eat where people smoke, don't. No one makes you. Sissy boy.

In all seriousness, if I am out and Subway is the only dining choice I have....I'll pass. I'll wait until I get home or until something else is available. But then I don't really like sandwiches....or a lot of bread. When I do eat a sandwich from a joint, I prefer the bread to be thinner and toasted....like they do at Schlotskey's....or Mancino's (a sort of local joint around the Bowling Green, KY area).

That property owner has a right to call himself a private club and invite all the filthy smokers, crack heads and sodomists visit him. But if he wants his place to be available to the public he'll have to provide a more healthy environment, ass licker. :pke:

That is because the nanny-state whiners have made it that way.

You want them to post a sign warning that they allow smoking? Thats fine. But the fact that you demand that they cater to your health is ridiculous.

You aren't shy about the gov't protecting you, but scream bloody murder when they want to help or protect someone else at your expense.

As Soc said, that is not conservatism.

One of the best places to go for a decent meal is a supermarket. Last week I swung into an Albertsons, got an 8" ham sub, potato salad, baked chips and a quart of spring water for less than 5 bucks.

Sissy boy right wing nanny stater. That is all you are.

You two lick each others assholes, then fudge pack. Or is it the other way around. That's all moral normal natural and healthy of course. :good4u:

Another example of diverting the topic when you are losing. How typical.

That said, all fast food locations (and other restaurants) should have calories/fat etc... listed for every item on their menu.

This actually has been there since at least the early 90's when I started working there, it's in a box at the front with pamphlets that have all nutrition info you can take and read.
I can't ever remember having to refill it, which should give you an idea of how many people really care about it.
I think 99% of people understand that it's not that healthy and they know that and accept it.
