Teachers in the news

Public school teachers' unions predominantly support the Democrat Party.

This support is evidenced by their significant financial contributions to Democrat candidates and political groups, as well as their active endorsement of Democrat policies and politicians.

For instance, the National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) have historically directed the vast majority of their political donations towards Democrats, with some sources indicating that over 94% of their contributions go to Democrat candidates or causes.

Additionally, these unions have been known to endorse Democrat candidates, including high-profile endorsements like that of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

This pattern of support is consistent with the unions' advocacy for policies that align with Democrat platforms, such as increased public education funding, opposition to school privatization initiatives, and decriminalizing adult-child sexual relations.
