Democrat and Republican Women Agree: Men are Pigs

Shorter version:

1) Female senators don’t have affairs, don’t toe tap, and don’t act like self-indulgent pigs because they’re too busy actually doing work;

2) From the “holy f*ck!” files: Fox news Anchor Chris Wallace said he wished Sarah Palin would sit on his lap when he interviewed her. Wow, what a douche bag! The baracuda is an appalling theocrat, but that was misogynistic horseshit!

3) Bush’s press secretary, Dana Perino says the answer to having less sexist swine in politics is to elect more women.... Damn, Dana. Well said, I actually agree with a rightwing gal. Will wonders never cease?

NPR Senior News Analyst Cokie Roberts recently moderated a panel discussion with women serving in the U.S. Senate “about how they differ from their male counterparts.” Specifically, Roberts asked the senators — including Texas Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison and New York Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand — about why there are fewer scandalous affairs involving women in public life:

Q: So is Sen. Hutchison right? Are women more focused on their jobs — at least the women politicians you’ve covered?
ROBERTS: Let’s put it this way, we don’t see a lot of scandals among women. And her [Hutchison's] point — oh my lord, you try to keep the kids straight and the job straight, and get back and forth between houses. And of course, she is a Republican woman from Texas, who —
She actually, interesting Michelle — as a senator, and now she is in her mid- to late-60s, adopted two little children, who are really young enough to be her grandchildren. So this was a new balancing act for her to have these children.

But she was echoed by Kirsten Gillibrand, the young senator from New York, who has an 18-month-old baby and others. And Sen. Gillibrand says, “You’re in the middle of diapers and bottles and bills and votes and markups, how could you possibly think about doing anything else?” They’re joking on the one hand, but on the other hand they’re not. They take care of their families and take care of business.
.

Roberts also commented on Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace’s recent comments that he was hoping former Alaska governor — and fellow Fox News contributor — Sarah Palin would sit on his lap during their interview on his show. Roberts said his remarks were “appalling.” “You know, it’s the last place that men feel that they can just make jokes,” she said. “They would never make such jokes about a minority, you’d be in terrible trouble. But you can still make sexist jokes about women and get away with it.

In reaction to South Carolina Mark Sanford’s (R) extramarital affair last year, former Bush press secretary Dana Perino said the answer was to “[e]lect more women. No woman I know has the time for such trysts, nor do I know any who say the desire one. They’re too busy trying to keep all the plates spinning at home, at work, and at the gym to make sure none fall and break.”

This Republican man agrees, men are pigs. I celebrate it usually, but I don't sleep around on my wife...

We all know cypress hates being white,

what I read into this is he hates being a man too.

It must suck living with so much self-hate cypress.

Probably you posted this because you wanted people to think you are this progressively cool dude open to having more women in power, but you are cypress and purely dishonest, so you probably really posted it because you know women have more of a left voting record in office and that is all you want.

I love how women pretend that men are the only ones with dirty minds or that have affairs. Statistically speaking, women are more likely to cheat then men in a relationship.

The article wasn't about who had dirty minds.

I have no idea what the statistics are, I just know that I've hardly every heard of women in congress seeking sex in restrooms, having affairs, or hooking up with prostitutes. The whole Diaper David Vitter thing seems pretty rare with the female in congress.

That said, I just recently read that the 60 year old wife of the Irish Prime Minister got caught wanking a 19 year old boy. Good times!

How many Congressmen have been found doing that toe tapping thing? One? With a significantly higher male population in congress, of course you're more likely to find men who are disgusting perverts.

Nah, I want women in power for purely selfish reasons, my obsessive little King Condom.

I'm a self indulgent, self centered male pig like all the rest of you dudes!

I know that the more women are in power, the more liberal the country becomes. Sweet! For example, super liberal Sweden I believe has over half its parliament comprised of the fairer sex. For some strange reason, women prioritize social welfare, education, and equality over war, tax cuts for billionaires and torture; aka, over republican values.

Not really, no.

I think that you must be referring to Peter Robinson, who is Northern Ireland's First Minister. By the way, I wonder if Gerry Adam's brother and father incest crimes were reported in the US?

He was asked, by Imus (Mr. crude himself) if she'd be sitting on his lap during their, Wallace and Palin's upcoming interview; he responded "one can only hope". Poor response maybe, but it certainly is not as tacky as if he had simply made the statement himself as your article suggests.

I wonder why not post a more egregious sexist comment directed at Palin? I mean there were literally hundreds to choose from.

See Watermark's invisible dicks thread for that...
