Biometric National ID cards

There's no way the ID card is going to be in the final bill.

Anyway, drivers licenses have essentially become the national ID card.

This is absolutely correct. It is amazing how much "de-ingraining" I have to do with these people. I make it a point to re-teach the book of Revelation once a year.

That said, I don't like the idea of a national ID card for reasons other than the misguided "mark of the beast" resaon.

I've read most of the book of Revelation before, and I was surprised that almost none of it supported the rather fanciful theories the I had been taught by my preacher and books like Left Behind. I really have no idea where they got most of this theology. They say their strict constructionists when it comes to the bible, but I'm thinking that this required some very fanciful logic.

Martin Luther actually wanted to remove Revelation from his bible; it doesn't make a lot of sense one way or the other and it's authenticity is seriously questioned.

But we don't need the bible for proof of the New World Order.
