Obamacare repeal wanted by most American voters

A majority of American voters supported health care in the only poll that counts, the 2008 election.

I think the 2008 election was about Iraq, Republicans spending and corruption and an overall anti-Republican sentiment among the electorate. Claiming the 2008 vote was some mandate on health care is like W. saying the '04 vote was a mandate on S.S. reform.

You ever hear of a thing called the Iraq War?

You guys. Guess I'm gonna have to paste my comment from another thread every place you all bring up Iraq.

I didn't say HC was the ONLY reason Obama won. I'm arguing that the American people knew since early 2007 that HC was an important issue on his agenda, and HC is what they'd get by voting for him.

I'm a little tired of reading all these comments suggesting that Obama and the Dems put one over on the country. The country knew exactly what Obama stood for, and they elected him by a decent majority.

Obama kept his campaign promise, and now conservatives are all disgruntled over it. My heart bleeds. :cof1:

From my original post:

"One of Obama's campaign promises was to reform health care. Starting in 2007 Obama made reform a centerpiece of his campaign. Americans knew that Obama was determined to reform health care, it wasn't a secret. And being fully aware that this was one of the major features of his agenda, Americans elected him president, 52.9% to McCain's 45.7%.

Conservatives like to point to polls showing that "most" Americans are against health care but the only poll that counts shows that the majority supported Obama's agenda, including health care. Nothing was sneaked by the population, and that's what's killing you guys."

For those who remember is what Obama campaigned on during the debates the same as the bill we just got? I don't remember the specifics of the debate other than Obama calling out McCain for claiming his plan would raise taxes.

I would argue the polls and Scott Brown's election in Mass. shows it's not just conservatives who aren't happy. Call it buyer remorse or voter remorse or just simply not liking this bill but the independents who voted Obama into office are showing their displeasure.

Just another way to say you have no idea what you're talking about.

Why do you insist on looking more and more foolish every day?

Which is just another way for you to say that it's obvious that your own words have shown you to be the hypocrite that you tried so hard to hide.
