It only seems a "stretch" to you because you've never lived a life being on the receiving end on the many variations of racial put downs, overt and covert.
Jesus, you leave the board for a few days, and you miss some hilarious shit.
Exactly, man. You nailed it. . I'm as white-bread as they come, and even my lily white ass can see the racial context in that sign. Not to mention all the other racially charged images and signs the teabaggers carry around.
Actually, I'm not surprised that the wingnut contingent - asshat zombie, southernman, and damocles - tried valiantly to defend their beloved teabaggers and their racist associations. It's patently obvious to the non-retarded person that the reference to a sitcom line, delivered by a black kid with an ethnic inflection in tone, wasn't targeted merely by accident at a black president. Fuck man, Obama is harvard educated and speaks better english than any teabagger.
Another thing I"m not surprised at all about: tea bag defenders trying to blame this on liberal "infiltrators", rather than confront and purge the racism in their own movement. Gut-bustingly hilarious! What's more likely? That birkenstock wearing liberals infiltrated the tea bag party, and yelled nigger and fag at some liberal politicians? Or that teabaggers - who have been photo documented carrying racially charged signs - would actually do it. Ha! What a joke, it's beyond reasonable doubt that the nigger and fag-yelling cabal were devout tea baggers. Yo man, the deal with most cons (and I proudly salute Winterborn for not falling in this category) is that They're happy to have the votes of racists, and to associate with them - the deal with the devil they made is that they don't want their racists publically embarrassing them or their party. This ain't rocket science. It's the freakin' Southern Strategy of Ronnie Raygun.
They are a truly pathetic lot...being led like lambs to the slaughter to defend the very people that are screwing them over...and then they wave the flag and Constitution while trying to excuse the one of the most base and vile negativity of the human social condition.
Bottom line: telling a kid there's no Santa clause is can have dire consequences if that kid has a gun!
