I think we know why they won't release the report.

Speaker Mike Johnson is now working to block the "highly damaging" House Ethics Committee report into the sex trafficking allegations concerning former Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz. Matt Gaetz was previously a member of the House of Representatives where he was under investigation by the House Ethics Committee over sex trafficking and other allegations.

According to an ABC News report, a woman testified in front of the Ethics Committee claiming that she had sex with Matt Gaetz when she was 17-years-old. Now, Gaetz has been appointed as Donald Trump's nominee to be the highest law enforcement officer in the country, Attorney General. Two days before the Ethics Committee was set to vote on whether or not to release the report into Gaetz's allegations, Gaetz surprised many and chose to resign.
As a result, the Committee lost jurisdiction over the allegations.

Despite that, there has been a bipartisan push from Senate Republicans and Senate Democrats to see the report so that they would be able to fully vet the nomination. Speaker Mike Johnson, however, has other plans. According to latest reports, Johnson is "going to request that the ethics committee not release the report."

Donald Trump Already Setting Up A Potential Constitutional Crisis Over His Appointments

The incoming president doesn't seem to care if his nominees can't win Senate confirmation.

The Orange Jesus, with the help of Congressional MAGAts, will ramrod his picks through one way or another.

MAGAts are anti-American and pro-Russian just like Daddy.

GOP Applauds Trump’s AG Pick Matt Gaetz: “Proof That in MAGA America, Even a Pedophile Can Dream Big”

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Celebrating what they hailed as a bold new direction for the Department of Justice, Republican leaders and political analysts enthusiastically backed Donald Trump’s announcement of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as his pick for Attorney General. Supporters say the choice encapsulates the spirit of MAGA: an underdog triumphing against all odds, even those involving federal investigations and underage sex trafficking allegations.

“Matt Gaetz represents the very best of Trump’s America,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson. “He’s a fighter, a survivor, and someone who refuses to let serious allegations of criminal misconduct stand in the way of achieving his dreams—or prosecuting others for theirs. That’s what MAGA is all about.”

Trump praised Gaetz’s resilience during the announcement, calling him “a man who knows the law—because he’s had to dodge it so many times.” Gaetz, grinning broadly, assured the crowd he was ready to take on the nation’s legal system. “Who better to enforce the law than someone who understands how to, let’s say, navigate it creatively?” Gaetz quipped, prompting a standing ovation from the crowd.

While critics have decried the nomination, GOP officials insist Gaetz’s appointment is a testament to their commitment to American exceptionalism. “This is a rags-to-riches story for the ages,” said Sen. Ted Cruz. “Matt is living proof that it doesn’t matter where you come from, what you’ve done, or how many Venmo transactions you’ve made at suspicious hours. In MAGA America, anyone can become the nation’s top prosecutor.”

GOP analysts agree. "For decades, Americans have been told they need perfect résumés, Ivy League degrees, and clear moral records to succeed,” said one anonymous GOP strategist. “But Matt shows that in Trump’s America, you can rise to the highest legal position in the land no matter how many investigations you’ve faced—or are still facing. There is no limit, much like Matt's age requirements for consensual sex."

Conservative commentators were quick to rally behind the choice, touting Gaetz as a “symbol of redemption” and proof that the GOP is “the party of second, third, and even indefinite chances.” One Fox News host described Gaetz’s nomination as a victory for the common man, adding, “If a guy who Venmo’d $900 for suspicious reasons to a guy who is serving 10 years for sex trafficking can achieve this, imagine what the average American can do.”

trump is trolling the country.

If he could appoint the sleaziest scum imaginable to every open cabinet position, he'd do it.

If he could commute R Kelly's sentence, there'd be a cabinet position as long as he praised trump and toed the MAGA line.

Think of any sleaze bucket doing time in prison for some crime against humanity, and trump would hire them into his administration if he could.

He's actively trying to tear it all down and leave the door wide open for Putin to stroll in and assume command.

If you're under 50, start learning to speak Russian now.

Maybe they'll have a use for you when they take over.

Maybe it will keep you out of the work camps and gulags.
