Irrelevant. Impeachment is a political process, not a judicial one. As such, successful impeachments only--ONLY--happen when all (both) parties are in agreement that a particular politician in office should be removed.
The Democrats were utter morons to push for impeachment when they had near zero Republican support and no hope of getting any either. It amounted to little more than a show trial of ZERO consequence. That is, except for their own base, they were wasting their time pursuing it.
