Trump supporters are the moral equivalent of Hitler's supporters in 1933.
Some of them understand that and largely admit to that.

The ones who don't understand that
have almost certainly made clueless votes their entire adult lives.
Thus, they are equally detrimental to the republic.

Here's the problem with our democracy and probably all of them.
In a free democracy, the politically naive and ignorant have votes which count just as much
as the votes of sophisticated, knowledgeable, and serious voters.

As a direct result of that, freedom and democracy are very hard to keep.

If you're too tied up with the challenges of your everyday life to keep up with what's going on politically,
that's your business,
but you have no moral justification for ever voting.
Voting without due diligence is morally reprehensible.

Personally, I would do away with the secret ballot.
Everybody's vote should be published in the public media.
That way, if you're fucking stupid about politics, you will be identified, belittled, and hopefully quit voting,
or in a best case scenario, you might get help.

I make no secret about for whom I'm voting.
I don't mean just here as Nifty Niblick.
I mean out in the open with my real world name.
If you cast votes about which you're not ashamed, you shouldn't care who knows about it.
You should WANT everybody to know about it.

Also, however, if you cast votes in direct opposition to your own overall best interest,
people need to know about that too, because you can't get help if you're not recognize4d as being deficient.

White, working class, uneducated but religious voters vote against their own best interests
almost ALL OF THE TIME these days. The decay of the republic can be blamed directly on them
as much as on the corporate oligarchs who pull their strings without them even realizing it.

SAN ANTONIO — A 63-year-old Bexar County man was arrested after allegedly punching an election clerk when he was asked to take off his hat supporting presidential candidate Donald Trump, breaking polling site rules.
Jesse Lutzenberger faces charges of injury to an elderly person for assaulting the 69-year-old poll worker Thursday evening at the Johnston Library voting site.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar called it an “ugly incident,” saying there was no place for violence in elections.
“There was nothing life-threatening, but it was still an ugly incident where I can’t think of something like this happening in my time as sheriff,” Salazar said.
Officials said Lutzenberger arrived around 6:30 p.m. to vote and put on his hat supporting a candidate. Documents specified it was a red “Make American Great Again” cap, referencing Trump’s campaign slogan.
It’s against Texas election rules, however, to wear badges or attire referencing candidates or measures on the ballot while in a polling place. Salazar said a poll worker at Johnston Library reminded Lutzenberger about the rules, and he removed it before casting his ballot.
Upon leaving, however, Lutzenberger allegedly put the hat back on while still in the building. An election clerk “told him that was unacceptable,” Salazar said, and began to escort him out. That’s when Lutzenberger allegedly turned physical, throwing his arm and then “several punches” at the clerk before leaving.

I worked in polls. You are not allowed to enter the polling area with political paraphernalia. If you pass out literature, you have to be more than 100 feet from the door to the polls. That is in Michigan.

I ran a Nv Democratic caucus in Obama’s first run

I had to rip off the walls of the room a bunch of Hilary signs that the old ladies who were backing Hilary placed there

They were not very happy with me when I began e planning to them why I was ripping them off the wall

Everyone else in the room was elated

They were for Obama

I was the only one who was in the Edwards group

When I announced that people were to begin The caucus by standing in groups in three places in the room (3 candidates were on the ticket) to show their preference of candidate

I was standing alone

I announced that Edwards had been eliminated so I was realigning into the Obama group

We counted heads

And the Clinton ladies lost and Obama was the resulting candidate our caucus was recording as the winner


The Clinton ladies had nothing they could say

The numbers were clear

An Interesting note

Clinton was at that location while we did it


It was a Vegas high school

She gave her caucus night speech there

While we were getting things started in the room we were assigned (the lobby of the theater)

Chelsea Clinton Walked in to use the lobby bathroom and was greeted calmly and respectively by my Son who was aiding me in running the caucus in his first election where he was old enough to vote

He did in such a way that NO ATTENTION was brought to her and she could avoid unwanted attention

It was a night I will never forget
