Should Anyone Trust the Media?

NPR is the government supported darling of the radical left. Highly pretentious and cloaking itself in an air of haughty superiority. Those of the radical left view themselves as erudite if they listen to NPR, viewing it as highbrow and above the fray.

The new CEO of NPR recently gave a Ted Talk explaining why "Truth gets in the way." Acknowledging that truthful reporting has no place in the modern media.

Watch - barf bags recommended.

Fascinating. She actually said truth gets in the way. I guess the truth is pesky like that. So if there are many truths how is it we were able to declare that slavery was something to be abolished?

A pair of dirty socks broad.

One to put in her mouth for peace and quiet and the other to wipe off with after.

Maybe some Jack Daniels first.

The left are emboldened and outright demand disinformation.

There is no "truth" with leftists. They have done a good job destabilizing America. They took control of schools and the media. The teachers caught the crap and the media reinforced the crap. They used "multiculturalism" to try and convince us all cultures are equal. Then they dismantled marriage. Now we don't even know the difference between a man and a woman. We are so "smart" now that a candidate for supreme Court Justice can't even tell us the difference because she isn't a biologist. It's credentialism. Only those with the proper credentials can speak about a topic so soon we won't be able to take a piss unless a urologist tells us we can.

Why should we believe anything you say?

First off, nobody feels “erudite” if they don’t follow NPR, better informed perhaps, but not “erudite,” appears someone found where Roget’s Thesaurus on Google

And secondly, she is correct, “truth might be a distraction getting in the way of finding common ground & getting things done,” as long as one side refuses to accept facts finding common ground is nearly impossible

Wrong, not what she said, it is what Vivek implied, “truth might be a distraction getting in the way of finding common ground & getting things done,” means if one side refuses to recognize facts, the truth, common ground is improbable, the Big Lie being an example

Well yes, you of the left find the truth to be an impediment to your plans. What is shocking is how openly the radical left in positions of power now demand censorship of facts and outright propaganda to promote authoritarianism. 5 years ago those like you still denied that the DNC controlled press were outright lying and fabricating "news" to serve the party.

I think that Fox losing three quarters of a billion dollars because what you consider “facts” proves the NPR CEO’s point

As Moynihan said years ago, “one is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts”

Who cares?

The issue at hand is Katherine Maher openly advocating the media lying to America, calling truth a "distraction."

As Moynihan said years ago, “one is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts”

Katherine Maher says that the media IS entitled to their own "facts," and should openly lie to create "common ground."
