It was a significant step in the correct direction. Lots more has to be done, and if the Republican party would help rather than hinder moves to improve the plan...we might eventually get to where ALL of the developed world has already gotten years ago.
Anyone taking Trump's "plan" seriously is a fool. Trump would have difficulty putting together a 10 piece jigsaw puzzle. To suppose he actually has a plan (or anything remotely like a plan) for replacing Obamacare...is for people nearly brain dead.
Obamacare is a decent start. Improving it carefully...mostly by including more people and allowing it to use its muscle to obtain lower prices for drugs and care...is the way to go.

Health insurance costs have skyrocketed since Obamacare had been passed by a simple majority with zero Republican votes. Everything Obama promised was a lie. He fucked up health insurance for 80% of Americans just so 10-20% would benefit.

What choice? Your employer picked the stupid program according to price. You were subjected to pre-existing conditions. You have the thrill of calling the insurance company to see if they would permit the doctor's procedures. I know many people who spent hours on the phone and the internet fighting with insurance companies. Your care is determined by corporate profits. You have an imaginary choice.
Before Obamacare, one could by private health insurance. I was going to do so for less than $600.00 a month for my wife and myself. We were self-employed. Obamacare was enacted and that policy disappeared and the price of something comparable went to $900.00 and climbed every year thereafter. The middle and upper middle cannot qualify for ACA tax credits and are stuck with inflated and unaffordable health insurance costs.

Obamacare has been a huge success...and just about NO MEMBERS of the American public would benefit from its repeal. Not even you assholes begging for that to happen.
