Well France should ban arms sales to Israel then. No one wants shitty French weapons anyway. Meanwhile the US should get Israel all the weapons they need. Israel needs to destroy Iran nuclear program like they did Iraq's nuclear program.

Macron has been - *by far* - the most pro-Israel president France has ever had. It's not even close.That's how you know, on the opposite to what Netanyahu is saying, that it is Israel that represents the forces of fanaticism: nothing else but complete unconditional submission to their murderous ethnonational ideology satisfies them.And that's why Macron's approach is the worst a country can take: he completely and probably irreversibly antagonized the Muslim world with his wholesale support of Israel and his crackdown on pro-Palestinian voices in France. And he obviously also antagonized Israel because he dared voice a very late, meek and timid qualification for his support.

Sweetcheeks, Israel doesn't have a "nuclear program". They have nuclear weapons, dear. Why do you think all the Arab nations switched from conventional warfare to asymmetrical warfare in the 1970s?

Following the Sun Tzu logic of "know thy enemy", studying Arab strategy and tactics in both their wars against Israel, each other and with the Iranians, it's always fascinated how inept they are in modern warfare.

They're not short of guts nor smarts, so it must be a cultural thing. I've trained a lot of foreign students. Comparing Western students (specifically Germany, Norway and Spain), the Saudis seem baffled by modern tech. The Kuwaitis were better, but there were so few of them and since they were the best of their best, it's not a good comparison. The Italian students were the worst of the NATO nations and only a little ahead of the Saudis. As a student myself, the Iranians were similar in being stymied by modern tech, but I didn't experience flying with them directly.

The Iran-Iraq War was very telling about how their cultures are similarly crude, more emotional than logic and lacking sophistication. They can be brave, but stupid. All "Allahu Akbar" and anxious to get martyred.

It's no surprise to me that the body counts are so lopsided when one side is very precise and very logical while the other side is foolishly brave to the point of being suicidal.

Here's an example of why Arabs don't win wars with non-Arab nations:

A good friend--another Chief--who was in EOD, sort of SEALS who defuse bombs, told a story to me of having an exercise with the Saudis. The US operators were paired with a Saudi. He got a guy that was distantly related to the royal family in some way and that's why the guy was in Saudi 'special forces.'

The mission was to take an abandoned oil rig in the Gulf. The plan was they'd drop about 3 miles from the rig, swim to it, then take it. He and the Saudi jumped from the helicopter to enter the water were he found the Saudi was unable to swim... So, he had to rescue carry this useless fuck to the rig where he dumped him and then had to carry out his part of the mission on his own.

The gulf in Arab militaries between officers (privileged and elites in society) and enlisted (scum of the earth) is vast. The enlisted show no initiative or willingness to carry out orders or missions. They do as they are told. Officers aren't selected because they are competent or capable, but because they are socially and politically connected. Tribalism also exists. It isn't just who you are but where you're from.

So, you have illiterate, or semi-literate enlisted who learned by rote and won't do anything other than their specific job, while the officers don't give a shit about their men seeing them as inferior and worthless to be driven like cattle.

Hamas and Hezbollah are no different. What training they give their combatants is done by rote. There are no coordinated battle drills, no learning to carry out missions with flexibility. Bravery doesn't make up for ignorance.

I suppose you do not use Arabic numbers when you do math. They were the most advanced area in the world in science math, philosophy, trade, and much more. They conquered much of the known world. What happened to them? Islam. Religion makes you stupider. The faith of Islam is like the goofy Christians here. They want to go back in time. They got rid of science and advancement. They trusted religious leaders over scientists and philosophers. Religion makes them provincial and mentally accepting of religion.

Nor was the Arab world particularly ahead of any other civilization, and once Islam took hold there was a steep and precipitous decline in all you describe within Dar al Islam. A big factor in that decline was the total and absolute asskicking the Mongols delivered on much of the Middle East.
