The police didn't give peace a chance.

Ten "naturists" were caught on the public beach here about two weeks ago — in the middle of a Thursday afternoon — making a peace sign out of their naked bodies, police said.

The plan, the bare-it-all group said, was to have an aerial photo taken of the peace sign, which was about 9 feet in diameter and part of the Mid-Winter Naturist Festival, which ran Feb. 11-16 at Sunsport Gardens Family Naturist Resort in Loxahatchee Groves.

Police recommended indecent-exposure charges against the nine men and one woman. The State Attorney's Office will decide whether the birthday-suit peaceniks will be arrested.

See, this is one area where I am glad there are still laws in the US to prevent stuff like this. If they are in a confined, private area, go for it, but not in public. Way to go Palm Beach police.

See, I am for freedom! If this upsets you, look the other way! I dont like to smell people smoking on the beach, but I dont want to make it illegal, I just move on down the beach a bit.

I think it depends on how many are going to demonstrate and how. A small group likt this likely did not require a permit.

Well out here in liberal California, you smoke on the beach you get a ticket, want to drink a beer at the beach, get a ticket. Liberals love to take away freedom.

Well I disagree with that. Your beaches are much smaller however and maybe its hard to just find a better location away from the offensive behavyor.

True. Where I grew up in Massachusetts I was under the impression that you had to have a roof over your head in order to drink a beer.
