Apparently she had asked to speak, and was denied...then she appeared anyway...My understanding was that it was around 1:45, when they were privately getting ready to close the casket...and so they told her she was not welcome...That was reported on tv...not sure if there is a link or not... She was asked to leave...and blasted again when she got outside...She was clearly not welcome there...when the family has informed you that your presence will not be necessary or welcome, any visit is disrespectful...
Surely you can understand why the family would not want her there...and she doubled down when interviewed later...She won't change anything so that these tragedies will stop happening...and she could...

When the Governor or other prominent politicians came to one of our wakes, we were usually appreciative.
Now that most of the family is gone, we go straight from deathbed to the furnace,
and don't fuck with ceremonies,
but at one time, we had pretty cool family wakes with impressive guestlists.
I guess it's hard to understand how different people think.

When you're not invited there's no such thing as a brief respectful visit... She was not welcome, that's why. And that's why she left quckly.. The family and friends let her know... both inside the funeral home and outside.... There's always gonna be conflicting reports things like this... I'm going to go with the fact that she was not welcome there... For good reasons...

Sometimes guests are not invited... Or specifically told that they are not invited to speak... I don't think that would be too hard to understand for anyone... Cool family wakes is kind of interesting though... There are Groups who have the most elaborate homgoing celebrations... I've been to a few...
