Hell yes. Cops get paid whether they do their job or not, so most say hell with investigating crimes and the public says hell with reporting crimes.
Trump does not require facts. Whatever he says is quickly and completely believed by Trumpys. Crime peaked in the 90s. It has dropped steadily since then. But Trump says it is a steep climb and his followers blindly, and stupidly accept it. This has gone on since he decided to run.
Those figures are bogus. Crimes are not being reported. There are no records of the amount of actual crime. Stop the bullshit. Anyone knows crime is out of fucking control or they are an idiot.
And please do not expect anyone to believe any government report. They have 0 credibility.

You're wrong Nordberg. It's fine to call out others but you better be accurate yourself. In 2020 (during COVID) and 2021 crime did surge in this country. The numbers have decreased since but they are still above pre-pandemic numbers.
(If crime continues to drop as you claim why so much complaining about gun violence and shootings? Again, not to suggest we should be ok with it but people keep saying this is a regular occurrence etc. Is it just false rhetoric from anti-gun people and the anti-gun people blindly and stupidly accept it?)

the agency announced this week that it would not be releasing the statistics, due to a lack of data provided by local police departments.
The agency noted that it has received data from 9,881 law enforcement agencies, out of a total of 18,818 agencies, for 2021. In order to release the data, the agency required a 60% participation rate. (The agency did make available the non-aggregated data for individual participating cities with populations over 100,000.)
