Trump Says Israel’s Fighting Back As It Did Was a ‘Big Mistake’

We fight, We win, Am Yisrael Chai
On Monday, the Republican Jewish Coalition sent out an email condemning “Biden’s Abandonment of Israel at the United Nations,” and they were absolutely right, the Biden administration’s abstention on United Nations Security Council resolution 2728 was disgraceful.

But then, also on Monday, Israel Hayom’s Omer Lachmanovitch and Ariel Kahana published their interview with GOP presidential contender Donald Trump, in Mara Lago, Florida, and some of what was said there didn’t make me much happier about the former President winning in November.

Israel made a very big mistake. I wanted to call [Israel] and say don’t do it. These photos and shots. I mean, moving shots of bombs being dropped into buildings in Gaza. And I said, Oh, that’s a terrible portrait. It’s a very bad picture for the world. The world is seeing this…every night, I would watch buildings pour down on people.”

In other words, there is no daylight between the way Biden views the fallout from the Israeli war in Gaza and the way Trump does, except that Trump blames the war on the sitting president. So, what was Israel supposed to do? Remarkably, Trump’s answer is almost identical to that of Jake Sullivan and Antony Blinken:

For Trump and Biden, war is what millions of viewers see on their television screens. As soon as Israelis stopped coming across as the tragic victims of Hamas atrocities, and instead fought back with all their might, they lost the war on public opinion. This was the constant complaint from the Americans over the past six months: “Too many Palestinians are getting killed.” But they won’t say what’s the appropriate number of killed Palestinians.

Let’s face it, the world doesn’t like it when the Jews are winning. It hit us in the face every time. In 1967, France declared an arms embargo on Israel, its biggest client, and the Soviet Union and its satellite states severed diplomatic relations with the Jewish State. The secret to Jewish winning is losing.

Biden isn't a free agent.

He has to work with our party
and leaders in our party are fucking up badly on this Middle East conflict.

Almost as badly as the other party fucks up every single other issue.

I feel like he has done a fairly good job, balancing our obligations and commitments with Netanyahu’s Violent extremism.

What crap. Nobody thought fighting back was not their right. Nor were they wrong to attempt to punish those who perpetrated the raid. But slaughtering Gazans and taking their infrastructure down is overkill. They have spent months shooting rockets and dropping bombs on Gazans and other Palestinians. They have killed nearly 50,000 people for a crime done by people who likely fled after the attack. When will these "so-called" religious people have enough revenge? How much blood do they require?

Watch what happens on this board & nationally now.

Righties here have been adamant that Israel is beyond reproach, and that criticizing their actions amounts to antisemitism and supporting Hamas.

In about a week, they'll be the biggest pro-Gazans anywhere.

I will say this, Biden has always been (blindly IMO) pro-Israel. There were multiple times during the Obama administration that Biden undermined Obama's stances on Israel.

But yes, he at least does work with people and take opinions other than his own into account. And thankfully opinions on the ongoing genocide in Gaza are starting to turn.

30,000 is not enough for this guy so he ups it to 50,000. Well why not? After all nobody can check the figures as they are all controlled by Hamas. Hamas is reported to be interested in a deal for the top guys to go into exile, most likely Qatar. This fucker is incapable of understanding how hard it is to remove
Hamas scum without also affecting others, it's almost impossible. Is he really that stupid, maybe maybe not but you can always count on him to whinge all the same. Can't recall him ever castigating Russia for its war crimes in Syria, it will just never happen.

The secret to Israel winning is it is filled with smart energetic people. Their enemies nations are filled with stupid energetic, a equally stupid lazy people...

Nobody knows how many Palestinians the Israelis have killed. However if the figures go as nearly every conflict in history has, the early estimates are low. If Israel says 30 K. you can be sure they are going to wind up higher, much higher.
Hamas had access to a huge tunnel system. Their headquarters was in Cairo, and Qatar. Hamas snuck in and attacked Israel. For some reason, you think they could not have snuck out. That is thinking by your standards.

I'm not saying any figures other than those quoted by Hamas. I don't believe them and neither should anybody sentient, which naturally counts you out. We
also know that at least 15,000 of the dead are Hamas and other terrorist scum, I am not going to shed one tear over them. I'll leave you to do
that. The bastards deserved their fate as far as I'm concerned.

I told you LW idiots when this began that when it was over Palestine would also be OVER as a country. Not a one of you agreed. The proof is all right there in the old threads for anyone to see. By actually listening to what Israeli leadership was saying it was CLEAR to see that they were finally done screwing around and had entered into their version of the final solution. Not saying I agree or disagree with their actions but I am saying that Palestine IS OVER. Get used to it,....its happening. The Mosque will be destroyed and the temple rebuilt.

I agree. It is a big mistake for Israel to show those videos.

What is the answer to those who would say that destroying a city and killing more than 30,000 of its residents has been something more than "fighting back" for what happened?

Israel is going to have to face that question, and is facing it in the international community now, and not only from non Jews.
