Donald Trump in his Mar-a-Lago classified records case has forced prosecutors to make a stark choice: allow jurors to see a huge trove of national secrets or let him go.

I'm guessing the Judge has reviewed these files and know those documents are a big nothing. She knows this is nonsense.

That can't be it and survive appeal. Neither the judge nor the jury is qualified to evaluate government security classifications. Even this shithead of a jurist would know that. I don't see this story in either the Post or NYTimes; makes me wonder
if DB got it wrong.
 
The super-classified documents Trump stole presented this problem from the beginning. Even the lawyers do not have the clearance to see them or talk about them. Cannon does not have clearance either. She is a bad person to have access to the files. How can they make the case to jurors who cannot see them?

The prosecution has been trying to hype them since day one; the defense has every right to call the assholes' bluff.
 
There is no relevant need for the jury, or even the judge to read the actual documents. The details of their contents are not relevant to the elements of the case. That they WERE classified and that he obstructed are the relevant facts.

It was no bluff. They wanted to have experts with qualifications and experience to describe their importance. To have common jurors see super-classified papers is tough to permit. Trump stole important documents and that may save him. I hope not. Trump is a thief.

Jurors reading the documents is not necessary to prove the elements of the crime. Anyone who thinks so is a moron.
