I don't believe the Chinese cars are going to have a lot of impact on the US auto market anytime soon.

Well, and for one good reason. They're BUTT ugly! And most Chinese cars are too small for most American Families.

Chinese cars are made for people who have never owned cars. People buy them in China, Mexico, and India that have never driven cars before. So they are popular there.

Driving one's self back and forth to work is still something new in China. So, car sales are mushrooming in China.

If you'll research them, most of them look like Mini's. Mini sized cars do not have much of a market here.

Now, that will change over the course of the next couple of decades, but for now, Americans, by large, are still driving cars that they can cart their whole family in- SAFELY and comfortably!!

He was speaking at the time about Chinese car manufacturers building plants in Mexico and that he'd put a 100% tariff on every car. Then he went on to make the bloodbath comment regarding the auto sales.....
