I put this very simply to friends and family. I will compromise on policy but NEVER on principle. The principles of the cult are antithetical to my values. I cannot speak for my Conservative friends, but we all get along and support each other.

We seem to have the old "OUR GANG" mentality- all for one- and one for all now. Anyone of us, or anyone in our families gets sick or goes through a financial struggle- we are all right there to support them in any way we can. All the trouble makers, knuckle draggers, and political extremists have long since faded away. Covid caught up with some of them, and old age caught up with some others. It is not even about us anymore, but rather about our children and children's children.

I think because all of our kids grew up together, and are all now grown and some even having Grandchildren of their very own now, we have grown into a huge family of a sort. Our friends are basically family now- or maybe that is just the way it has always been, because it certainly feels that way.

Why are you having such trouble accepting Hur's many comments saying "we conclude that the evidence does not establish Mr. Biden's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt."

Given the refusal by DOJ to prosecute any sitting POTUS, odds were good that Biden would be pushing 90 before any trial would have begun.

Hur is a moron for wading into waters that were clearly over his head and way out of the scope of his duties, but I believe he meant that Biden would be a sympathetic defendant for the reason I mentioned above.

And in Hur's assessment, there was sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial, but he and his staff found Biden sufficiently mentally impaired, aka incompetent, that he felt a reasonable jury would acquit or find Biden not guilty on account of that impairment or incompetence.
