Well, I just finished watching SNL, specifically to see if and how they handled the Katie Britt fiasco.

They made attempts to lampoon her performance both at the cold open and during Weekend Update.

I must say that even though they were pretty amusing and not bad, I felt like they didn't really nail it as well as they could have.

Scarlett Johansson, wife of Weekend Update host Colin Jost, played the part of Britt, and looked pretty convincing.

Then, when it was Update's turn to take a poke at Britt, it seemed like they kind of held back a bit.

I'm thinking maybe if they'd had a couple more days to work on it, they might've done a little better.

I agree, it wasn’t as funny as it could have been. Scarlett wasn’t whispery or whiny enough.

I only saw the cold open, which was good, before falling asleep. I'll watch the entire episode later today.

The episode overall, pretty much sucked like most of them do anymore.

There's a good bank robbery skit right at the beginning, but it kind of went nowhere after that.

Too much gay themed humor and too much Broadway musical style singing, which seems to be something they rely on a lot nowadays.

Even Weekend Update wasn't very good, the Britt story notwithstanding.
