Knowing another language or two is a good thing. I speak a broken Chahta and can usually communicate well enough in Mex to get by, if I can get the other party to speak slowly enough. On top of that I’m fluent in English and can morph that into hillbilly in order to communicate better with the parents/guardians of my students at Parent/Teacher Conferences.

My son is minoring in Japanese with aspirations of picking up another foreign language before completing his Masters degree. He’ll never take the time to learn Chahta and that’s sad to me.

There have been several studies that indicate bilingual people have a cognitive edge. Sadly, I only speak broken Spanish although it was useful to use the Navy’s phrase books whenever in foreign ports.

It's 3 times the decimal equivalent of 1/32.
1/32 is 1/2 the decimal equivalent of 1/16 so 3/32 is the decimal equivalent of 1/16 plus 1/2 the decimal equivalent of 1/16.
I can also calculate the mm equivalent of 3/32 in my head faster than you can look it up.

1/4" is .25 so 1/8" is .125 so 1/16" is .0625 so 1/32 is .03125 so 1/64" is .015625 so 1/128" is .0078125 and anyone working with 1000s of inches is likely working in mm if they have any intelligence. Then to change from mm to inches is just the click of a button in most modern machines.

I actually worked for a computer center that was 100% metric. The powers that be assumed that would make it easier to source from foreign countries. Turns out that it is impossible to find a sales rep for America that can use metric.

In any biggish Public hospital in my state there is an out-paient clinic where members of the publican see a doctor and if necessary have a prescription written to treat any condition that requires drug therpy.

Anyway, everyone wants to be givena prescription and have it dispensed because it all free and it kind of fun.

It turned out that there were a good portion of malingerers at I hospital I was working in. And large numbers of dickheads would pretend to have all sorts of distressing symptoms, The number one, by far, was pain and aches, and the doctors were subjected toall sorts of hystrionics and claims that their pain symptoms had been so agonising they had been unable to sleep for the past 5 nights. 95% of this was pure bullshit, and what the doctors would do was write a script for 100 Paracetamol tablets, and in the margin of the prescription form write "FITH Syndrome."


Shortly after I started working as a pharmacist, I began to notice a steady flow of the "FITH Syndrome" scripts arriving in the dispensary. I though to myself I 'd better find out with it means. So I rung up one of the doctors who was endorsing his Paracetamol scripts with "FITH Syndrome and said: "Hey, Johnno, whats this "FITH Syndrome" on your scripts mean? He said to me it means "Fucked In The Head Syndrome", and I shut the stupid bastards up by giving the a bottle of 100 Paracetamol to take home.


So, that's you Anth' baby - "FITH Syndrome." Anyone who says that there is "glaring evidence that he (Trump) has frontotemporal dementia is a feelble-minded ding-bat.
