trump is not the nominee yet. In July, at the Republican Convention, in theory, trump will become the nominee. At that point, normally the two nominees would start arranging the debate through the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates.

trump pushed the Republicans(or party of trump as they have become) to cancel all future debates. trump does not do well in debates.

I certainly hope you are wrong when you say "never", but it really is for trump to decide. If trump refuses to debate, that is one more reason for Americans not to vote for him.

Agreed on your timetable. That said, given Trump's behavior at other debates, it would be smart to have some strict rules in place including a microphone cutoff switch.

In fact, that should be Biden's requirements; a strict format and oversight. Normal people would accept, but Pedo Don doesn't like following rules of any sort including abiding by his oath.

I agree that Biden will avoid debate like the plague this time and attempt another basement campaign with occasional appearances at donut and ice cream shops to announce that he works for the government in the Senate...

trump has said that he will allow Biden to make all the rules... Then again, he has also said that he will never debate Biden. Basically, whatever happens, trump is a liar.

The reality, only one of them has not agreed to debates at this time, and it isn't tRump...

Is it because Trump avoided debate last time Biden would avoid it this time?

If a real debate format is put in place as compared to a childish free for all, Biden will agree to debate and Trump will find an excuse not to.

I'll add that to predictions... And we'll see who if anyone avoids the debates... I still wonder if Biden will even be the nominee.

That is great. All trump has to do is show up to the normally scheduled debates, and we are golden. I wonder why he cancelled them in the first place?

Technically, it is the Republican Party, under the direction of trump that withdrew from the debates. That being said, it certainly was not Biden.

Yet again, not a prediction. trump had the Republicans pull out of the debate. Right now trump has banned himself from participating. The Republican Party has banned any groundwork for the debates. trump has refused to reverse his decision.

We can predict whether trump will reverse his decision, but right now he is avoiding the debates.

Since Trump is the only standing Republican with a chance still running it is safe to say he is the nominee. The same could be said for Dementia Joe. There is nothing preventing Joe from taking up Trump's anytime any place offer now. Biden is not cognitively capable of debating Trump. If Trump doesn't do well it debates it would be a great time for Joe to show that he is Trump superior. So by not debating Biden is skipping a golden opportunity.

It really is not. trump is an old, unhealthy man, he could very easily be dead before July.

The way it works is simple. You get the nomination when you get the nomination. There is not this concept of "he almost has it."

Trump is an oath-breaker. I'd never trust him with anything.
