Under President Biden, the average net worth for all families increased by 23%

That's a pretty big exception.

All that really says is that Trump failed when it came to addressing the only major crisis of his admin.

One of the most exceptional and never before happened events in US history and it's somehow Trump's fault that governors--Not Trump, governors, and almost all Democrat governors--shut down the economies of their states for months on end hum?

And who says more border patrol agents aren't "necessary?" Attrition for agents is significantly high. There is ALWAYS demand for more agents.

The bill gives more funding for that, and makes quite a few concessions to things conservatives have been demanding for years.

Republicans showed that they are NOT serious about the border.

Not true. Read the 370 page bill.

The Republicans are serious about border security while the Democrats and RINOs in the Senate are serious about amnesty for illegals already in the country while only paying a sop to border security.

You don't know what's in the bill. "That bill was terrible" - says someone who knows nothing about it.

And why do you think I want open borders? Another entirely fabricated, baseless claim.

If your only retort is that it "would have passed" if it wasn't terrible, that's laughable. Trump needed the border to be a campaign issue, so he instructed his sycophants in Congress to oppose it.

How can you call a bill "terrible" when you know absolutely nothing about it?
Ok...But it Is terrible...;)
It did nothing to secure the border...a situation that's been out of control for three years.
The border was already a Top campaign issue....but I do understand that blaming Trump and Republicans is the thing to do...We'll see if Americans agree with you in November...they won't elect someone who refuses to address their concerns...

A pandemic has never happened in US history?

Interesting.

And of course - Trump had the 'innocent bystander' Presidency. So powerless as the chief executive.

The country wasn't locked down and the economy didn't stop because of Spanish Influenza or outbreaks of Smallpox...

Again w/ the bolded.

It would have given $20 billion for DHS & other agencies to further secure the border, including hiring thousands of new border patrol agents. Which are NEEDED.

Also a trigger mechanism that would give DHS authority to expel migrants caught crossing the border illegally in times when there are a high # of crossings. Can you explain how that doesn't improve the situation?

It would make it harder for migrants to apply for asylum depending on the #'s at the border. Again - how does that not help?

These provisions are all things conservatives have pushed for in the past. They opposed this bill because Trump wants to get re-elected.

Not what's needed to SECURE the border...
Expel migrants caught after how many? It wouldn't have made it harder to apply for asylum...come on, man...Joe's flying 'em in...;)
Does no good to get extra farm hands and close the barn door after the cows are already out and about...

This was such a one-sided discussion.

I gave you examples & substance. You STILL have not provided one iota of information to support the idea that the bill was "terrible." The only reason you think so is because Trump said it.

You should be watching Federal Reserve chair testifying about interest rates and inflation ...very interesting...

You should clarify as to why you think the immigration bill that Johnson killed is a 'terrible bill'.

If you can't or haven't read the bill, just grow some balls and say so.

Ha! Not true. You fell for the right wing bullshit. This just proves how gullible you really are.

The federal government transports adult detainees in its custody from one facility to another, or from one U.S. city to another during deportation proceedings.

The vast majority of people on the flights are unaccompanied minors who crossed the border, requested asylum under immigration law, and are being released from federal custody to a parent or sponsor.

Some of these flights happen at night, but they are not covert operations. The same types of flights were done by the Trump administration.

I have and here's two reasons it needed to be killed:

First, while it allowed the president to unilaterally close the border if more than 5,000 illegal crossings were happening for consecutive days, it excluded from that number families and unaccompanied minors, among others. That made the number all but irrelevant as people wanting to cross illegally would start doing so as pseudo-families and claiming (aka lying) they are minors.

Second, it provided a path to citizenship for virtually every illegal in the US now.

That isn't better border security, it's a fig leaf to let the chaos on the border continue while creating millions of new US citizens out of criminals.

I don’t care one way or the other. But why do you think this doesn’t translate to better poll numbers for Biden? And before you say, “polls don’t mean anything “ that will not be accepted as an answer.

Poll #'s are going up in terms of people feeling better about the economy.

I think Biden has other issues weighing down his own #'s. And by comparison to Trump, he is abysmal at marketing his own achievements.

Historically a good economy makes for good poll numbers for the incumbent. Why is this different? Especially when the opponent is as sleezy as trump.

You make a valid point as always. The only people that would support that drooling, incompetent fuck. Well, they need some sort of public assistance right?
