France becomes first country in world to enshrine abortion in constitution

They allow abortions up to the 14th week of pregnancy in France, this was passed in 2022 as women were upset that some women had to leave France to get an abortion around then, this matches most nations in Europe and therefore rendering leaving France to get an abortion less palatable and to less angry women.

This particular vote enshrined that law (abortion until the 14th week) in their constitution. They are more restrictive on abortion than almost any Democrat running on "abortion to the moment of birth" and almost every state that allows abortion in our union (some states have enacted more restrictive laws since Roe v. Wade was overturned).

France was the first to use a guillotine too.

And the last. I think the last execution by guillotine was in 1984... Let me look that up, I'll add the link in an edit.

Sorry, the correct year was 1977... Still fairly recent, actually.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guill...ption, the device,10 September 1977 in France.

After its adoption, the device remained France's standard method of judicial execution until the abolition of capital punishment in 1981.[3] The last person to be executed by a government via guillotine was Hamida Djandoubi on 10 September 1977 in France.[4]

at 8 weeks we can tell gender by blood test.

I would like to believe the civilized world would not allow gender preference to be a valid reason for abortion.....yet here we are......

As Monty Python would say, "A bit early to be imposing roles on them, wouldn't you say?"

My religion has stated, specifically, for 3000 years, that life begins with breath and abortion is NOT ‘murder’.

Jewish law state that life begins at conception? No, life does not begin at
conception under Jewish law. Sources in the Talmud note that the fetus is “mere water”
before 40 days of gestation. Following this period, the fetus is considered a physical part of
the pregnant individual’s body, not yet having life of its own or independent rights. The fetus
is not viewed as separate from the parent’s body until birth begins and the first breath of
oxygen into the lungs allows the soul to enter the body.
