Higher education is about more than job training: Open

Well, according to some here (not me but others), without going to college and getting a degree you'll never amount to anything or have a good paying job. They live in their little Leftist fantasy land thinking that majoring in art history will get them a six-figure salary on graduation...

History has proven them wrong, of course. I've already given them examples.

Personally, I think most modern art is a joke. The only place an artist can sell one is to some fool in government. You see these things on college campuses and government campuses.
One here where I live looked just like a salt lick mounted on it's corner. That's what everybody called it. Then one day someone threaded a string throughout all the holes and hung a kite on the end, like Charlie Brown had been here. Best modification I had ever seen to one of these things! Another one on the same campus looked like a barbecue pit. When someone actually built a fire in it, the campus was so upset!

So much for modern art.

But studying and getting a degree in art history? Garbage. Their little leftist fantasy land is only going to put them in the nearby fast food restaurant living measly paycheck to measly paycheck and whining about this misfortune.

Meanwhile, you have a valuable skill. It's worth good money, and it sounds like you enjoy doing it. Sure beats working as a cashier in McDonalds like they are!

Being a cultist, it is understandable why “pigeon” sees no value in higher education, his Messiah “loves the uneducated,” but no society advances itself when mediocrity is its highest goal

It takes a college educated idiot to say something that stupid.
