Should pregnant women be prevented from traveling out of State by Red States to ensure that woman will not seek an abortion in another State where it is legal for them?

In Washington, Republicans say it's ridiculous to accuse the GOP of trying to prevent women from traveling to access abortion care. In Texas, that project is already underway

...The effort to restrict a woman’s right to travel across state lines is already underway.

One week before Lankford made those comments, Yvette Ostolaza, a Dallas-based corporate litigator and the head of the white-shoe law firm Sidley Austin LLP, received a letter from a handful of elected officials in Texas.

“It has come to our attention that Sidley Austin has decided to reimburse the travel costs of employees who leave Texas to murder their unborn children,” the letter, signed by eleven Republicans in the Texas House of Representatives, read. It went on to threaten the law firm — one of the country’s largest — with criminal prosecution and the disbarment of its partners, among other penalties, over its pledge to reimburse “abortion-related travel and, if necessary, related legal-defense expenses” for its employees.

In the letter, Republicans went on to detail their plans to introduce “legislation next session that will impose additional civil and criminal sanctions on law firms that pay for abortions or abortion travel.”

Dozens of the nation’s top law firms, as well as many of its biggest corporations — Amazon, Microsoft, Starbucks, Disney, Tesla, JP Morgan Chase, to name a few — have publicly promised to help employees forced to travel from states where abortion has been banned to receive medical care. ...

That's an asinine question. If you want to kill your baby and the state you live happens to frown upon killing babies then I guess you'll just have to drag your ass to a barbarian wasteland to do it. That's just how it is.

And yet Magats are trying to push laws to stop it, so the question is not asinine.

No the questions remains asinine no matter what others do. The best part though is that if this goes up your leftist ass a mile and a half then. GOOD! Now I suspect you might bellow that Republicans will love every future election with this stance. Again...GOOD. I'd rather lose every future election because I did the right thing then sell my soul to the devil for temporary power. I lost because I defended innocent life but you won because you defend killing babies. Nice "win".

No a question is good to examine, when an issue that harms others is being pushed by politicians even if Yakuda thinks the issue is stupid.

You and i both thinks this is a ridiculous things for republi'cans' to push. We agree. But everyone needs to KNOW and UNDERSTAND republi'cans' are pushing this and to make it known how offensive and stupid we all find it, so it does not gain traction within the party.

Most people never believed republi'cans' would actually threaten form of birth control or things like IVF, which helps people have kids. Most people called others alarmist for saying this would follow the fall of Roe V Wade.

AND THOSE 'MOST PEOPLE' WERE WRONG.

What started as a mostly hardcore small group of republi'cans' who have always been pushing for bans on birth control and stopping IVF, quietly gained enough power, in one state because derps like you and LyingFish thought questions such as 'should republi'cans' be allowed to ban IVF', would say they are asinine questions to ask.

That is because you guys are stupid. See my sig.

You talk a lot but don't say much do you? if you don't want to drive to another state to kill your baby maybe don't do any baby making activities and guy can keep your fat lazy ass on the couch.

Abortion just affects poor or middle-class girls. The wealthy fly off for a vacation and come back 6 lbs lighter.

And you manage to say less with 100% of it being stupid.

This thread is about Republi'cans' trying to find ways to block pregnant women leaving the state, because they fear they may get an abortion out of State.

It is a question of personal liberty and not abortion as ALL pregnant women, even ones who do not want an abortion, would become 'wards of the State' subject to their freedom of movement.

I understand that your stupidity makes it hard to stay on topic, but please try.
