Exactly, Originalism is a sham, it took the right a century to realize Strict Constructionism was antiquated, so they came up with Originalism to replace it, which is just as archaic

You have to laugh, the Founders were prolific authors, over the course of their lifetime they never stopped writing, often reversing positions they expressed at an earlier time, but the right will pull a quote or two from this lifetime of recording and present it as the Founders view on any specific topic.

Even funnier is their cherry-picking two centuries plus of history to rationalize some position, Thomas’s sophomoric Bruen opinion is laughable

Opps, I forgot to add personal interpretations of the cherry picked history, now the Founders were for it before they were against it, and two dozen references from two hundred plus years of history is nothing

A NRA cherry picked list of Founders quotes pulled from context don’t present facts, and the Second Amendment is part of the Bill of Rights plus it baffles anyone how you think others believe the Bill of Rights apples to the Government

your feelings are not facts. the words of the founding era are quite clear about an individual right that shall not be infringed.

as for your 'misinterpretation' of the 2nd Amendment, the anti gun crowd consistently tries to tell us that 'well regulated militia' means government controlled, but again, it is the absolute height of stupidity to believe that the founders would guarantee ONLY a government regulated unit to have arms after they had just won independence from their former government that tried to regulate their arms.
