Judge orders Trump to pay nearly $355 million in civil fraud trial

The penalty may be adjusted, but the judgement will not be overturned. As Donald may not have 355 million in liquid assets.

So he may not be able to put up bonds on what he owes now. I've read where he may not even have 40 million in liquid assets.

The IRS will be coming after him next. And if they fine him, he will be paying a lot more than that measly 355 million in Back Taxes.

This case wasn't about taxes. It was about business fraud. Businesses in the state of NY are required by law to not produce fraudulent documents.
The fact that the Trump Organization kept 2 sets of books proves the fraud.

There isn't really evidence of income tax fraud in the case. It's more about the 2 different valuations for properties for property tax purposes and financial statements given to banks.

Yes, understood, however his fine was adjusted according to calculations of how many taxes he got out of paying as a result of all the fraud.

I love that the Judge fined Alan Weiselberg $1MM, to claw back part of the $2MM that Trump paid him to shut up about all cases.

What i like about it is that Alan was being paid out over time, as long as he did not voluntarily cooperate with law enforcement, and i would bet he has not even got $1MM yet and i doubt he will ever be paid the rest. So Alan will have to dig deep in his pockets.

And lets all celebrate the man of the moment.

The man who without speaking at Congress this case, would have never been pursued!!!

Below are just 3 of many, MANY more detailed frauds the judge laid out in detail in his ruling.

The first property listed there, 7 Springs, was an undeveloped plot of land of which the Trumps PLANNED to build a series of mansions on.

Trump paid Cushman Wakefield to appraise the land, and they gave him a value of $30MM. Trump was not happy with that and instead gave Banks a value range of $261-291MM.

Trump documents, as submitted stated the Mansions were already built and all construction costs complete. All of that was a fabrication. Trump never even had legal permission to develop the lots.

NO FRAUD. Everyone can lie to banks like that!

My faith is finally coming back.

Trump is finally facing the justice everyone else would have, long ago.

Geez, FawkEwe10 believes Trump did nothing wrong and it's the Justice system that's at fault.
Isn't it amazing what these MAGA morons have to swallow in order to support their Orange Turd.
Pretty much the definition of a cult. Just like Jim Jones and David Koresh, if Trump told his flock to drink the Kool-aid or to burn it all down, you know they would.
Heck, he got them to raid the Capitol on Jan 6, right?

Firstly Trump did not request a jury trial. Oops.

Second NYS does not require one, in cases like this.

He doesn't have to request a jury trial, you moron. It's automatic.

NYS does indeed require a jury trial as per the 7A of the federal constitution. THINK

I always doubted he'd ever be put behind bars, which the traitor deserves, but breaking him financially and restricting his movements from his residence are very realistic futures for him.
