Maybe part of YOUR routine physical but not part of most people's routine physical.Did you pass any of the cognitive exams that you took? Why is your doctor so worried about you that he repeatedly gives you cognitive exams?

They are not part of a routine physical after the age of 60...unless signs of obvious cognitive impairment are observed.... So if you're receiving a cognitive exam with your physical exam it's because the doctor has observed something that is problematic... which is why Joe should absolutely be getting a cognitive exam with his physical...

Advisors, Defense dept, Cabinet members that deal with him daily all say that claim is utter bullshit. Dementia is so closely linked with diabetes, the Medical Institutes are referring to Dementia as a complication of diabetes.
When diabetes is not controlled, too much sugar remains in the blood. Over time, this can damage organs, including the brain. Scientists are finding more evidence that could link Type 2 diabetes with Alzheimer's disease, the most common cause of dementia.
So the possibility or probability of Dementia can also be detected through Urine and blood tests.
Biden is not a diabetic. His blood and urine tests pass all the tests for diabetes. He is not even borderline.

One thing that all older people are tested for in normal health check-ups is they are tested for depression.

I never suggested he was diabetic.. I am sure that all older people are evaluated for cognitive or other mental issues when they get there physical exams I said as much... but if there's no indication that there's any problem they are not

I was tested for depression in a normal annual checkup! At the time, I was my Mom's basic full-time caregiver, and she had full blown dementia and 92 years of age. At 91 she fell in her home just walking to the back door to let her dogs out, and was diagnosed with stage one dementia, She went from stage 1 to stage 3 in less than a a year and a half and died. She was also a borderline diabetic with high blood pressure.
I was also tested for kidney disease, and there were signs of some proteins in my urine. But, that was my fault, as I was a daily Coca-Cola and sugar in my Tea and Coffee junkie.
So, I dropped all the COLAS AND ROOT BEERS, and started using sugar substitutes in my coffee and tea. Within just one month I was no longer a borderline diabetic. I also watch my overall daily sugar consumption by just skipping deserts and snacks. I am consuming less than 10 grams of sucrose a day. And I watch my carbohydrate intake as well.
Today, I am totally depression free, and all of my urine and blood tests are not showing any signs of high sugar or kidney damage. I was able to get my sugar under control by just simply making some positive changes in my diet.
I mean at 72, I decided to grow up and start being careful about consuming too much sugar like a man of my age should.

And you were tested because there was a reason to believe that you could be experiencing depression that's a very difficult job caring for a parent in such serious condition... bless you for doing the very best that you could I'm sure... I'm glad you're feeling better take care of yourself good diet and exercise is so important I suggest walking and a lot of swimming...

I'm good. My Mom is in a happier place now, and so am I.
To watched my Mom's mental and physical state deteriorate so fast, and to see the quality of her life slip away so fast, was a very depressing stage in my life.
But, I would do it all again, should the only living person left of my immediate family, my older sister, come down with this terrible debilitating disease.
