DHS Secretary, Alejhandro Mayorkas - a lying, little, baldy-headed, Cuban c**t - has been officially impeached by House Republicans. The last time an American Cabinet member was impeached was 148 years ago under the Presidency of U.S. Grant - which goes to show you just what a rotten egg Alejhandro Majorkas truly is !
The two articles of impeachment charged Mayorkas with wilfully refusing to comply with immigration law in his failure to secure the Southern Border from its breach by massive numbers of illegal aliens; and, repeatedly lying to Congress under oath (and lying to the American people).
The two articles of impeachment will now be passed to the Senate where a vote will be held on whether or not to convict Mayorkas. If he is convicted in the Senate he will be ousted from his current position as DHS Secretary. Unfortunately, Democrats dominate the Senate and the requisite two - thirds - majority vote to effect a conviction will not be reached. This Senate will likely "dismiss" the two Articles of Impeachment against Mayorkas meaning he will remain in his job.
Thus the Mayorkas' impeachment by by Republicans in the House has been derided as merely a "symbolic" victory, lacking any substance. I would note, however, that the Southern Border/immigration has shot to the top of campaign issues for the Presidential election this year. A majority of American are very unhappy about the multiple crises that have been triggered by the open Southern Border and want effective action taken to curb the flood of illegal aliens, deadly drugs (e.g. fentanyl) and Border-related increases in crime, etc.. Donald Trump , who is almost certain to be the Republican Presidential nominee, has insisted that if he is returned to the White House in 2025, he will launch, "...the largest domestic deportation of illegal/criminal immigrants in American history.
So, in successfully impeaching Alejhandro Majorkas the House Republicans have shown they are listening to the people and prepared to hold lying. criminals in the current cabinet - like Mayorkas - to account. This might well transfer in lots of extra (non-symbolic") Republican votes come the 2024 Presidential election (!!) The Democrats, on the other hand , including demented, Joe Biden, have clearly signalled the exact opposite to the people. They have no intention whatsoever of securing the Southern Border; nor could they care less about holding lawless reprobates in the government accountable for their disgusting behaviour (such as Kamala Harris, Merrick Garland, Christopher Wray, Barack Obama, Hillary, and many other Democrat scoundrels).
