After all this time, Trump still does not know how NATO works. He keeps talking about countries paying into a fund. What the dispute is, is that NATO members are supposed to spend 2 percent of their GDP on the military. They average 1.8 percent. There is no fund. They owe nothing. Trump says that because he is trying to destroy NATO. I bet even rightys can understand who that benefits. It is Tuckers/Trump's pal Putin.NATO was set up to put a huge front against Russian aggression. What Putin is proving is that it was correctly established. NATO is needed now more than ever.
Trump talking about countries not paying is ironic on so many levels. He’s the last one who should be talking about not paying bills. His 2016 campaign still owe cities for the security they provided for his cult rallies.

Trump and the Republiclowns don't realize this but this stance against NATO is going to lose them a ton of votes. Many people over 60 remember when the Soviet Union had control over eastern Europe and they don't want to see that again.
Trump needs to win the over 60 vote or he has zero chance and with his NATO stance, it doesn't look good for MAGA.

Look, I don't like Trump, but you should always put remarks in context (and yes, I would do this for Brandon too), this wasn't what he plans for the future. This was Trump describing to a crowd how he got Germany and other NATO countries to pay their share according to the Treaty thus ensuring they got the US support they are due since they are now following the agreement.
