The constitution makes standards for who can run. You have to be a citizen, over 35 years old, and have not partook in an insurrection to overthrow the government. Trump passes 2 of those.
Trump is as afraid to debate Biden just as he was afraid in 2020 when he made a shambles of that debate rather than square off like a man. So this may be a gimmick to protect himself. Knowing a President never debates someone who isn't nominated he is setting things up for when the time comes to turn Biden down on the excuse Biden turned him down.

Trump does not stand a chance. All these polls don't take into consideration sex. Women overwhelmingly will not vote for Trump like 53 to 36 percent. More women vote than men and come election day they will be out and Trump will be crushed. Trump is also losing voters every time he loses another court case. Plenty of republicans are smart enough to NOT vote for someone hundreds of millions in debt and a felony conviction will mean mass exodus from all but the Trump Nazi's.
Republicans are going to feel real stupid after nominating the asshole and then the guilty verdicts start rolling in and Biden is running 10-15 points ahead of him. Now the jackasses can't even use the border as an excuse! Biden gives them what they want and they still refuse it, they don't give a shit about the border. And the Fed said they would lower interest rates but Biden told them wait, drop them in September and then again around Oct 15th.
You wouldn't be expected to know, but in biblical times fetuses were often thought of as more like plants than human beings, and abortions were practiced without any sense of immorality.

They mentioned this the other day on NPR. None of the polls take into consideration the huge disparity of women dead set against Trump. It has never been like it is now about 15-17%.
They were also questioning voters after voting the other day, most were saying they did not like Biden very much but voted for him anyway, there was just no voting for the velveeta man. There will also be no crossover for Trump, no Democrat will vote for the asshole but plenty of Republicans will vote for Biden. He will win women and independents by a wide margin as well.
